Break out the bubbly! Flaherty's Crossing, a collaboration with Kristina's mother, Linda Yoshida, is a finalist in RWA's prestigious 2008 Golden Heart® Awards, in the Strong Romantic Elements category. The winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony in San Francisco in August, the grand finale to RWA's national conference.

Kristina is delighted to announce that she is now represented by literary agent extraordinaire Marcy Posner of Sterling Lord Literistic. Marcy has an extensive history in the publishing industry, including fifteen years as a VP at the William Morris Agency. Needless to say, Kristina feels honored to be included in Marcy's exclusive list of clientele!

Kristina was invited to read an excerpt from one of her novels at the "Books for Kids" event at Barnes & Noble in Clackamas Town Center on December 9th.

Kristina's website, designed by Michael Volnychev, won 2nd place in the Silver Rose Contest for Web Site Excellence, a national competition for literary websites.

Between The Lines took 1st place in the Adult Fiction category (all genres) of the 2007 Kay Snow Writing Contest. Kristina was recognized for the award at the Willamette Writers' annual gala and read an excerpt at the organization's monthly meeting on September 4th at the Old Church in Portland, OR.

Letters from Home (aka - Between the Lines) was a finalist in the Romance Writers of America's prestigious 2007 Golden Heart® Awards. Fewer than 70 finalists were chosen from approximately 1,100 unpublished manuscripts. Kristina was extremely proud to have been recognized alongside the company of such talented writers.
